Recently, the news has been that the Q60 is going to be discontinued as of 2023. This is when Infiniti is going to stop producing the Q60 coupe.

That means that 2022 will be the final production year of this vehicle. The announcement of this cancellation is happening as Infiniti is shifting focus to some of its more popular lines, such as the SUVs and Crossovers in the United States. The Q60 coupe only made it a few years, surviving primarily on good looks.

According to the company, it’s likely that retailers will still have units for sale even into 202. This discontinuation is happening since SUVs and crossovers are becoming so preferred by American drivers. These appear to be far more popular, so they are getting a lot more focus. The upcoming EV that’s coming is also going to be built in the U.S., With expectations that it will be popular here as well. The Q50 sedan will keep being produced through 2023. There are no plans to get rid of this particular model yet, but Infiniti is putting out four different crossovers and SUVs along with the possibility of a sedan EV for 2025, so it’s possible that the Q50 may have a limited life span up ahead as well. 

The trend lately has been SUVs and crossovers, as well as new hybrid and otherwise electric vehicles for new options in production. INFINITI and Waze Partner for International Women’s Day and Waze are starting a new campaign together and are joining forces in celebration of International Women’s Day. The automaker and navigation app are both determined to highlight historical women and landmarks centered around women with their campaign, “Pave it Forward.” 

The campaign includes making the Waze navigation app even more interactive during Women’s History Month in March. While traveling and taking different routes in some of the top cities in the U.S. and Canada, Waze will pin historical landmarks and women-owned businesses. This allows drivers to learn more about significant women in the past and present who have shaped various cities and made a positive impact on society. Users can immediately change their routes to take a detour that takes them to a historical landmark to learn more about women in history. They can also drive directly to women-owned businesses to show their support with a purchase of the goods or services.

The campaign was formed after studies have shown that only one-fourth of streets are named after women in both U.S. and Canada. Thousands of markers will be present in cities that include Miami, Chicago, Philadelphia, Toronto, Tampa, Boston, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, Vancouver, B.C., and Nashville. The app will verbally share important facts and information related to women as they drive through different cities, allowing users to keep their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road during the experience. All of the landmarks have been carefully selected by The National Women’s History Museum due to their historical significance involving women who have made a positive impact in local communities. Over 63,000 new detours were made to support businesses and help drivers learn about female changers.

A CVT system with paddle shifters transmits power to the standard Intelligent AWD system. The proprietary Direct Adaptive Steering also ensures more efficient and consistent handling on the road. The 2022 QX55 earns average EPA ratings of up to 28 mpg on the highway and 22 mpg in the city. An integrated rear spoiler creates some additional aerodynamic enhancements for this sporty family car.
