The intelligent key that comes with new INFINITI vehicles is certainly convenient, but you might think you’re out of luck if the battery dies. Fortunately, there are ways of starting your INFINITI, even if you have a dead intelligent key.
The method of starting an INFINITI vehicle with a dead key fob will depend on the kind of vehicle that you own. If your INFINITI has a key port on the dashboard, insert your intelligent key with the buttons facing up if you have a horizontal port or towards the driver’s side door if you have a vertical port. From here, press the Start/Stop ignition button while stepping on the brake pedal. Your vehicle should start.
If your vehicle lacks this key port, touch the ignition switch with your intelligent key. A chime should sound when you do this. Step on the brake pedal and press the ignition button within ten seconds of hearing the chime to start your car.
If you have the INFINITI QX30, you should be able to lift the ignition button to expose the ignition switch. As long as you have a tapered key, you should be able to insert the end of your intelligent key into the switch and start your vehicle the old-fashioned way. If this doesn’t work, you might have to press down on the brake pedal to get rid of any residual pressure in the brake system before trying to start your car again.

GET TO KNOW THE STRIKING INFINITI QX55
The QX55 is an all-new release from Infiniti. It bears some resemblance to the QX50 but also has some notable distinctions. The QX55’s unique style includes an aerodynamic design with dramatic curves and edges. While aesthetics are a priority with the QX55, form, and function are, too.
The QX55 features a carefully-designed exterior that keeps aerodynamics and performance in mind. Combining the two, critics call the QX55 an “artful” addition to the Infiniti lineup this year. The QX55 has some mechanical similarities to the company’s other vehicles, too. For instance, it may share the same 2.0L turbo engine that powers the QX50. It will also be available in either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, as with the QX50. It will also have the same suspension and interior composition as the QX50.
While the all-new Infiniti QX55 shares some similarities with the QX50, it also has a bolder exterior. One significant difference between the two is that the QX55 has a sloping roofline, which gives it a distinctive sporty appearance and sets it apart from the rest of the Infiniti crowd. While the QX55 is technically a coupe, its body style is more like that of a lifted hatchback, primarily due to its many horizontal lines. Both the roofline and seating position are lower in the QX55, which was inspired by Infiniti’s previous FX released in 2003.
Along with resembling a classic vehicle, Infiniti chose this roof and seat height to give the QX55 the same amount of headroom and space that the QX50 contains. With the room saved in the rear, designers could move the license plate housing to put a larger brand badge in the center. They also added brand lettering beneath it. The front grille and headlights have a sleek and narrow design, while the taillights have a design that resembles piano keys. The QX55’s taillights are similarly sized as those on the QX50.
Inside, the QX55 also gets a fresh and bold new look. One of its main features is a dual-touchscreen display, which includes an upper screen and a lower screen. The lower screen features performance data such as vehicle settings and entertainment features, including radio and media connections. The top screen focuses on navigation. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, while a 4G WiFi hotspot is available. A higher-end Bose sound system is available, too.

ALS Support Is Vitally Needed
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known more commonly as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, affects 20,000 every year, and those people face a grim prognosis (it is incurable and eventually leads to the death of the patient). What these people deal with on a daily basis is beyond the scope of what healthy people can understand, but one thing we can all understand is the desire to support causes like this that so desperately need research so that a cure can be found for those people who are now suffering from the disease. And while the cure may be a long way in the distance, businesses frequently join forces with others to make sure that researchers fighting this disease have the financial resources they need to keep fighting (just like folks with ALS keep bravely fighting).
INFINITI of Scottsdale Joins the Fight
INFINITI of Scottsdale is a well-known dealership in Arizona, and they’re joining the fight against ALS. On April 27th, 2019, they will sponsor a very important event called Art + Autos. It’s a celebration of life, music, art, and of course, the inspiration behind the event, which is to raise money for people fighting ALS. The Arizona chapter of the ALS Association is going to be the beneficiary of all the money created from this event, and INFINITI of Scottsdale was more than willing to sponsor this event and throw in many luxury cars for people to admire while they’re enjoying the day’s festivities.
The ALS Association has one mission and one mission only: To cure ALS! To eventually find a cure, though, medical researchers are going to need a lot of funding in order to make it happen. It’s the ALS Association’s task to obtain funding for this uphill and noble cause, and INFINITI of Scottsdale is but one partner in the fight to help the ALS Association accomplish its mission. Of course the association does more than just gather money for researchers. They also help people who have ALS increase their quality of life and continue their fight to find fulfillment even in the face of this deadly disease. Events like this help to benefit the ALS Association and get them one step closer to their true goal of finding a cure for ALS.

People in the Scottsdale area are welcome to attend all of the fun at Art + Autos.
